SUWANEE, Ga. - July 31, 2008 - Adding to an already long list of accolades for its Training Department, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga., announced it is has been accredited as an authorized provider of continuing education units (CEUs) from the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET) - the highest standard available for any continuing education program.
"This is the ultimate acknowledgement from the professional training community solidifying that our training curriculum programs are top notch," says Ken Brown, senior training manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "This distinction further documents the exceptional level and quality of our training programs. As an IACET Authorized Provider, our training processes are certified to meet the association's internationally recognized continuing education and training standards."
All existing and future Mitsubishi Electric HVAC training programs will provide participants with IACET CEUs. According to Brown, the ability to provide HVAC contractors, engineers and distributors with permanent education credit approved by IACET is a quality indicator for the Division's continuing education and training programs.
Brown adds, "With the IACET certification, we continue to lead the HVAC industry in state-of-the-art training."
IACET's mission is to promote and enhance quality in continuing education and training through research, education and the continuous improvement of IACET principles and standards. Since 1968, IACET has been the standard for continuing education and training programs throughout the country and certifies education providers that meet strict continuing educational guidelines. In 2006, IACET was approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) as a Standards Developer. The set of standards that were developed as a result are known as the ANSI/IACET Standards, which are what most learners look for when they choose a quality provider.
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC is one of only three HVAC manufacturers that currently holds the IACET certification. The Division provides comprehensive technical training for the Mr. Slim® and CITY MULTI® air-conditioning and heating technology. The four U.S. Mitsubishi Training Centers, located in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas and Irvine, Calif., feature fully functional CITY MULTI VRFZ systems and Mr. Slim split-ductless equipment to allow in-depth, interactive training sessions for contractors and engineers across the country.
