City Multi S-Series 3-TON Now Available
Monday, March 31, 2008
Suwanee, Ga. - March 31, 2008 - Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has introduced a new CITY MULTI® S-Series PUMY 3-ton outdoor unit. The 3-ton model features a cooling capacity of 36,000 Btu/h and a heating capacity of 40,000 Btu/h, which makes it the perfect solution for residential and small commercial applications.
"The CITY MULTI S-Series solution offers a single-phase outdoor unit with Mitsubishi Electric's Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning (VRFZ) technology and the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN) to cool or heat all zones with a variety of indoor unit styles. The compact outdoor unit uses R410A refrigerant and an INVERTER-driven compressor to use energy effectively," says Meredith Emmerich, manager of application support, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC.
A maximum of six CITY MULTI indoor units can be combined with the 3-ton outdoor unit to provide up to 130 percent connected capacity. A variety of different indoor units are available including wall-mounted, ceiling-recessed, ceiling-suspended, ceiling-concealed and floor-standing (exposed or concealed). The CMCN intelligently manages CITY MULTI through zone controllers, system controllers and optionally through a networked PC to manage individual comfort levels and provide the ultimate building comfort solution.
The PUMY features a night-time mode, which lowers the sound level of the unit by decreasing compressor frequency during certain outdoor conditions. Additionally, the demand control feature limits the compressor frequency to reduce energy consumption. An anti-corrosion PUMY outdoor model is also available to provide added protection in seacoast environments. According to Emmerich, these valuable features and options make the S-Series a great solution for end-users.
