Wednesday, June 02, 2010

SUWANEE, Ga., June 2, 2010 - Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions (Mitsubishi Electric) has introduced new systems that are ENERGY STAR®-rated and qualify for federal tax credits.

"The new M-Series systems are unique to the industry in that they provide much higher efficiencies and enhanced performance yielding greater comfort at a lower operating cost," says Chuck Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric.

The MSZ-GE09NA and MSZ-GE12NA systems with wall-mounted indoor units feature some of the highest SEER and HSPF ratings Mitsubishi Electric has ever offered. This improved performance helps homeowners save more than 40 percent on energy usage compared to standard window units. The MSZ-GE systems offer:

  • Single-zone cooling-only and heat pump models in 9,000, 12,000, 15,000, and 18,000 BTU/h capacities
  • All Heat Pump indoor units are also compatible with the MXZ-B Series multi-zone system
  • High efficiencies of up to 20.5 SEER
  • ENERGY STAR rated models; MSY-GE09/12/15 (cooling only) and MSZ-GE09/12/15 (heat pumps)
  • Models that qualify for residential federal tax credit; MSY-GE09/15 (cooling only) and MSZ-GE09/12/15 (heat pumps)
  • Quiet operation; indoor unit sound levels as low as 19 dB(A)

Another new model, the MFZ-KA09/12/18NA floor-mounted heat pump indoor units are available for use with the MXZ Series multi-zone outdoor units. This new cabinet design provides additional application flexibility which includes difficult rooms such as glass-walled sunrooms and atriums. The MFZ-KA models can be recessed into walls using minimum space in the living area. The floor/low wall-mount units are compact, efficient and reliable. The MFZ units have selectable upper supply vents for both cooling and heating and lower supply vents for heating only, a double filtration system, a wireless handheld remote controller with "Smart Set" including a heating setback down to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, auto changeover, auto vane and auto fan modes and auto restart after a power failure.
