Mitsubishi Electric Indoor Units Offer Enhanced Features, Increased Application FlexibilityThursday, May 20, 2010
SUWANEE, Ga., May 20, 2010 - Adding to its already extensive line of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) cooling and heating products, Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions (Mitsubishi Electric) has improved its CITY MULTI® line of indoor units with the updated PEFY-NMAU ceiling-concealed ducted units, the PCFY ceiling-suspended units and the PKFY wall-mounted indoor units.
"These updated indoor units make it even easier to apply our CITY MULTI systems in a variety of residential and commercial applications," says Joe Bush, VRF applications specialist, Mitsubishi Electric. "All three indoor units provide increased application flexibility and improved features."
The PEFY-NMAU ducted indoor units replace the PDFY indoor units. The units are ceiling-concealed with the ability to attach to ductwork, and the new height of only nine and 7/8 inches allows for more installation flexibility than ever before. The units also feature a condensate removal mechanism and an auto fan function.
Additionally, the PEFY units can help a building or residence earn LEED ® points in the Indoor Environmental Quality category when combined with the optional MERV 13 filter box.
The updated PCFY indoor units provide powerful cooling and heating performance and are perfect for restaurants, kitchens and other commercial spaces. Available in four sizes, the unit are available from 15,000 to 36,000 Btu/h with sound levels of 29-44 dB(A). The units also can be connected to ventilation air and can be equipped with an optional MERV 8 filter i-see Sensor, wireless receiver and drain pump. New PCFY updates include an auto fan feature, ceiling height setting and auto swing vane.
The updated PKFY unit is a sleek, wall-mounted model that is ideal for hotels, assisted living facilities, offices, residences and other applications where wall space is available. Available in seven sizes ranging from 6,000 to 30,000 Btu, the PKFY series features a stylish appearance, external auxiliary heat connector and standard wireless sensor. The units operate at up to 30,000 Btu/h and at 32-49 dB(A). The models range in depth between eight and 7/8 inches and 11 and 5/8 inches for a minimized profile on the wall.
