Control Climates Easier than Ever with Mitsubishi Electric’s meZO Controller AppFriday, August 20, 2010
SUWANEE, Ga. - August 20, 2010 - With the new meZO (Mitsubishi Electric Zone) controller app for iPhone and iPod Touch, users can control Mitsubishi Electric Cooling and Heating Solutions (Mitsubishi Electric) systems remotely from their smart phones.
With the meZO app, users can control CITY MULTI® systems and Mr. Slim® units connected to the M-NET and controlled from one of Mitsubishi Electric's Central Controllers (the AG-150, GB-50, GB-50ADA or GB-24 models). The iPhone or iPod Touch's Wi-Fi connection allows meZO to communicate to the central controller across a Local Area Network (LAN).
MeZO allows users to monitor the zone temperature, turn the indoor unit on or off, and set the mode, temperature, fan speed and vane direction, all without having to be on-site. Additionally, meZO is configured though menu-driven settings that support multiple locations, multiple controllers per location and customizable names for indoor units for easy control and monitoring.
"Individualized zone control has always been a priority for Mitsubishi Electric because it is the best way to maximize energy savings and ensure total comfort for all occupants," says Gabriel Weiss, interactive marketing supervisor, Mitsubishi Electric. "Now, Mitsubishi Electric has taken zone comfort control to the next level with meZO, making it possible for users to have many of the monitoring and control options available with the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN) remotely through their smart phones."
According to Weiss, the meZO app is perfect for use in offices, schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities, hotels and homes. "Building or campus managers, maintenance personnel, building owners and home owners are just a few groups who are sure to benefit from this new app. We are so pleased to be able to provide an extra element of convenience and comfort for many of our customers," says Weiss.###
