New Mr. Slim® Product Catalog ReleasedTuesday, October 21, 2008
SUWANEE, Ga., October 21, 2008 - Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division recently released the latest edition of its Mr. Slim® split-ductless cooling and heating systems catalog, which includes new product information and updated application photography.
"We continually strive to provide our customers with the most up-to-date information on the newest advancements to our Mr. Slim systems," says Chuck Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "Our new catalog features detailed information about updates to the Mr. Slim M- and P-Series product lines, such as the new M-Series MSZ/MUZ high-efficiency, split-ductless heat pump systems."
The new MSZ/MUZ heat pump systems add a new level of performance to the M-Series by increasing total system energy efficiency and providing end-users with year-round comfort. The systems, which consist of the MSZ-FD indoor units and the MUZ-FD outdoor units, are ENERGY STAR® Tier 2 certified due to its higher energy efficiency and SEER ratings. The indoor units also feature Mitsubishi Electric's "i-see" sensor, which controls temperature close to the floor and ceiling, as well as two new filters. A blue-enzyme filter reduces the concentration of allergens and germs in the air; and a platinum catalyst deodorizing filter uses nanotechnology to absorb microscopic odor particles, providing improved comfort in any space. The new M-Series MSZ-FD09NA and MSZ-FD12NA models feature the highest ductless system ratings in the industry at 23 and 22 SEER respectively. The systems are also extremely quiet at 22 dB(A) for the indoor unit.
In addition, the new catalog contains product information and updated photography for the Mr. Slim P-Series line, which offers flexible and convenient cooling and heating solutions to almost any commercial, institutional or large residential application. The newest addition to the P-Series line is the Hyper-heating INVERTER (H2i™) heat pump system. The H2i outdoor units use Mitsubishi Electric's exclusive flash technology, which recovers heat energy that is normally wasted at the outdoor coil. As a result, these units exhibit 100 percent of rated heating capacity at 5 degrees Fahrenheit and 80 percent of rated heating capacity at -13 degrees Fahrenheit. The catalog also highlights the new PLA four-way, ceiling-recessed indoor unit, which can be used with the H2i outdoor unit. "The new Mr. Slim catalog is a great tool for end-users who are new to split-ductless as well as contractors who want the latest information regarding Mr. Slim split-ductless products," says Applebee. "The catalog explains the features, benefits and performance of Mr. Slim systems in a way that is easy for everyone to understand."
