New CITY MULTI® Product CatalogMonday, February 02, 2009
SUWANEE, Ga., February 2, 2009 - Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division has released the latest edition of its CITY MULTI® VRFZ Technology catalog, Building Comfort Solutions, which features detailed information about new commercial and residential cooling and heating systems and includes updated product specifications.
"We are committed to providing our customers with high-quality products that incorporate the latest innovative technologies for efficient cooling and heating," says Meredith Emmerich, director of application support, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "The new CITY MULTI catalog features updated information about new advancements to our CITY MULTI systems, such as the new modular outdoor units, ducted indoor units and touch-screen Centralized Controller."
The new CITY MULTI modular units, the next generation of VRFZ systems, provide end users with greater cooling and heating capacity and application flexibility. The new series consists of 6-, 8- and 10-ton outdoor unit modules, which can be combined to form up to a 30-ton outdoor unit system capable of connecting to as many as 50 indoor units. The PURY/PUHY-P**T(S)HMU-A (208/230-volt) and the PURY/PUHY-P**Y(S)HMU-A (460-volt) outdoor unit modules feature a single INVERTER-driven compressor which increases performance and enhances capacity control. The outdoor units are extremely quiet, operating at a low sound of only 58 dB(A) for the 6-ton outdoor unit and 65dB(A) for the 30-ton outdoor unit system. The quiet operation can be attributed to each module's compressor compartment, which is sealed by metal panels to minimize sound levels in all directions. More compact than previous models, the new modular units are easier to transport, install and maintain.
The new catalog also highlights the newest addition to the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN), the AG-150 Touch-screen Centralized Controller, which will be available early 2009. The new AG-150 Centralized Controller can monitor and control up to 50 indoor units. The controller also features a color touch panel display and a nine-inch, high-resolution, easy-to-use LCD screen. With the new AG-150 Centralized Controller, end users can schedule fan speed and airflow direction, which contribute to the HVAC system's energy effectiveness.
The AG-150 Centralized Controller comes standard with a white faceplate and a flat back, allowing the device to be either surface- or recess- mounted. End users can purchase an optional black faceplate separately. "The new CITY MULTI catalog highlights product features and benefits of CITY MULTI systems in a way that can be easily understood by anyone," says Emmerich. "We hope that those who are interested in the uses of VRFZ technology will use the new catalog as a resource for all of their commercial and residential cooling and heating systems and products needs."
