Mr. Slim M-Series Exceeds 13 SEER Requirements
Monday, May 01, 2006Suwanee, Ga. -
Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga.,
recently unveiled its new Mr Slim® M-Series line of
INVERTER-driven cooling-only and heat pump products, which range
from 13 to 17 SEER, use R410A refrigerant and provide a variety of
outstanding features, all with no price increase to distributors,
according to Chuck Applebee, product manager.
"We're proud to offer one of the best family of products available
to our customers," says Applebee. "Not only does the M-Series
provide end users with lower energy cost operation and improve the
air quality inside homes, but the M-Series' low sound ratings and
powerful performance are unparalleled in the industry."
With sounds ratings as low as 22 decibels (dB(A)), lower than a
whisper, the quiet operation of the M-Series is the result of a
reduction in refrigerant noise and new unit design. The M-Series
also offers a variety of control settings, giving each individual
end user the flexibility to meet their desired temperature
conditioning in all climate types. One degree Fahrenheit step
temperature setting allows for more precise temperature control and
improved comfort, while Powerful mode provides 15 minutes of extra
high-powered cooling or heating to quickly bring rooms to the
desired temperature.
The Econo Cool mode technology allows temperatures to be set two
degrees higher without sacrificing comfort, resulting in a 20
percent decrease in energy costs. The DC Inverter-driven condenser
fan motor offers 60 percent greater efficiency than an equivalent
AC motor, providing more efficient operation and lowering energy
usage.
"Over the years, our customers have told us specific product
features they'd like to see in our Mr. Slim product line, for
instance low ambient cooling down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit (outdoor
temperatures), greater performance in a more compact unit and a
sleek indoor unit design. We incorporated these features and more
into our new product line-up. Each unit is packed with
user-friendly features that both contractors and end users will
appreciate," says Applebee.
The MS/MSY cooling-only and MSZ heat pump systems help improve
indoor air quality through the use of two distinct features. An
anti-allergy enzyme filter, using artificial blue enzyme catalyst
on the filter filaments, captures harmful microbes, and reduces the
harmful allergens, germs and bacteria. Environmentally sound and
hybrid catechin pre-filters with fibers deeply infused with a
bioflavonoid found in green tea have antiviral and antioxidant
properties, helping to reduce odors and bacteria.
The new M-Series features optional control interfaces that allow
the system to tie into the Mitsubishi Electric CITY
MULTI® Controls Network (CMCN), providing a centrally
controlled building comfort solution. A separate adaptor also
connects the M-Series to the Mr.Slim P-Series type hardwired,
wall-mounted controller. For more information on the M-Series, or
