Mr. Slim® M-Series Now Supports 4 ZonesMonday, March 24, 2008
Suwanee, Ga. - March 24, 2008 - Mitsubishi Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga., has introduced a new Mr. Slim® M-Series MXZ outdoor unit that allows up to four indoor units to be connected and supports 19 different indoor combinations.
The MXZ-4A36NA heat pump unit features the proprietary HVAC INVERTER-driven compressor technology from Mitsubishi Electric, which provides exceptional high-speed cooling and heating performance. Due to the high rotation speeds of the compressor motor, desired temperatures are reached more quickly than with conventional systems, ensuring comfort without delay.
"An added bonus of the INVERTER compressor is its ability to deliver the precise amount of energy needed to satisfy the cooling and heating load of a room. This reduces energy consumption, which saves the end user money," says Chuck Applebee, product manager, Mitsubishi Electric HVAC. "Conventional models take longer to reach the set temperature and adjust the temperature by switching the compressor off and on, which is not the most energy-efficient method."
With a cooling capacity of 35,200 Btu/h and a heating capacity of 36,500 Btu/h, the new MXZ-4A36NA is the ideal system for adding comfort to multiple rooms in a home.
The MXZ-4A36NA outdoor unit is part of the Mr. Slim split-ductless line of air-conditioning and heat pump products. Each system consists of three main components: indoor units, an outdoor unit and a wireless remote controller for each indoor unit. The MXZ-4A36NA connects to a combination of MSZ-A09NA, MSZ-A12NA, MSZ-A15NA, MSZ-A17NA and MSZ-A24NA indoor units. The indoor units help improve indoor air quality in two ways: 1) an anti-allergy enzyme filter, using blue enzyme catalyst on the filter filaments, captures harmful microbes and reduces allergens, germs and bacteria; and 2) environmentally sound and hybrid catechin pre-filters (with fibers deeply infused with a bioflavonoid found in green tea) have antiviral and antioxidant properties, which help reduce odors and bacteria.
The remote controller provides four modes - cool, heat, auto and dry and has a 12-hour on/off timer, providing one-button control over personal comfort.
The new MXZ-4A36NA features optional control interfaces that allow the system to tie into the Mitsubishi Electric CITY MULTI® Controls Network (CMCN), providing a centrally controlled building comfort solution. A separate adapter also connects the M-Series to the deluxe wall-mounted controller.
