Enhanced CITY MULTI® Indoor Units
Monday, November 05, 2007New four-way ceiling cassette units
have enhanced features and accessories
SUWANEE, Ga., November 5, 2007 - Mitsubishi
Electric HVAC Advanced Products Division, Suwanee, Ga., has
introduced its next generation of CITY MULTI indoor units. The new
PLFY-NBMU and PLFY-NCMU indoor units boast new features and
innovative accessories, providing better control over performance
and comfort.
"The new CITY MULTI PLFY-NBMU four-way ceiling cassette has a wider
air stream and individual vane control, which makes it adaptable to
any room layout and especially useful for office cubicles and open
work spaces," says Meredith Emmerich, manager of application
support. "Additionally, the auto fan speed feature automatically
adjusts the fan speed based on the difference in set temperature
and room temperature."
The PLFY-NBMU unit, which is available in six different capacities,
has dimensions of 33 inches by 33 inches and replaces the PLFY-NAMU
model. The new unit's grille is white in color and features longer
vanes, which allow for exceptional air distribution. In heating
mode, the unit features auto wave air flow, allowing the vanes to
independently cycle through horizontal and vertical positions for
more even heat distribution.
Accessories for PFLY-NBMU unit include air outlet shutter plates, a
high-efficiency filter element, a multi-function casement, a
wireless signal receiver and the "i-see" Sensor Corner Panel Kit.
The "i-see" kit is part of Mitsubishi Electric HVAC's radiation
temperature technology. The sensor, built into the accessory corner
panel, rotates 360 degrees to measure the infrared radiation
generated from the surrounding wall and floor surfaces. The sensor
computes radiant energy and then converts it into temperature value
to create a comfortable environment near the floor, close to
occupants.
The PLFY-NCMU four-way ceiling cassette is another extension of the
PLFY product line. This unit is available in three capacities, has
dimensions of 22 inches by 22 inches and is only 9¼ inches high. It
features a new white grille, which easily mounts into a standard
2-foot by 2-foot ceiling grid. The unit also features three fan
speeds, vane adjustment, including swing feature, and one 4-inch
ventilation air connection.
Both the PLFY-NBMU and the PLFY-NCMU units are available for order
now. For more information about the complete line of CITY MULTI
